FORT SMITH, AR (March 21, 2025) – The Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine (ARCOM) proudly announces the outstanding achievements of its Class of 2025 Match Day. With 156 students participating, ARCOM once again celebrates an impressive 100% “match” highlighting the institution’s dedication to preparing highly skilled healthcare professionals.

Among the graduating class, 68% secured residencies in primary care specialties, a testament to ARCOM’s dedication to meeting the healthcare needs of communities. Notably, 66% of matches are within ARCOM’s service area, with 15% remaining in Arkansas, 15% in Oklahoma, and 15% are staying in Fort Smith. 

According to ARCOM Dean Shannon Jimenez, DO, “Our students have achieved incredible matches, not only in our service area but also at prestigious institutions like the Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins, and Einstein Philadelphia. Their success is a testament to their hard work and the excellence of our program.”

The diverse range of specialties matched showcases the comprehensive training provided at ARCOM. Some of the notable matches included seven in Anesthesiology, 39 Family Medicine, 39 Internal Medicine, 15 Emergency Medicine, six OB/GYN, 17 Pediatrics, 20 Psychiatry, one Neurology, one Pathology, two Urology, one Osteopathic Neuro-Musculoskeletal Medicine, three General Surgery, and one Orthopedic.

Reflecting on this achievement, Dr. Jimenez shared her pride in the Class of 2025, stating, “We are incredibly proud of our students’ success on this Match Day. Their dedication and perseverance are evident in these outstanding results, and we are confident they will make significant contributions to the field of medicine.”
